Katharina Serafimova

As a social entrepreneur, Katharina Serafimova co-creates projects that reconnect nature, money, and community. She facilitates events and processes that enable transitions towards a value- and needs-based paradigm as a speaker and moderator. After earning a degree in environmental natural sciences from ETH Zürich in 2004, she worked in consulting as Head of Renewable Resources and Head of Corporate Sustainability at a Swiss Private Bank. In 2010, she completed a Master of Advanced Studies in Business Communication and shifted to working for an NGO to integrate sustainability into the finance sector, collaborating with financial institutions and regulators. Since 2014, she has lectured at the Institute of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich.

Passionate about regenerating ecosystems in areas affected by soil degradation and water scarcity, she weaves together experiences, knowledge, inspiration, and financial resources through her recent work in Switzerland and Southern Europe. Her efforts encourage people from various regions to engage in visionary work, share experiences, and co-create resilient communities.
